Laser Hair Therapy or Low-Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) uses light energy or “soft” laser light to treat and control hair loss. Our low-power “soft” lasers stimulate tissue repair and healing, and do not cut, burn or release heat (non-thermal). Thus they are known as “cold” lasers. The process is safe, painless, relaxing and effective!
Much like plants convert sunlight to chemical energy during photo-synthesis, human cells covert laser light energy into biochemical energy. Laser light increases the production of energy at the cellular level, setting into motion a chain of chemical reactions and improvement processes.
Microcirculation of blood supplies to the hair follicles increases, significantly increasing the number of red corpuscles that deliver life giving oxygen and nutrients to the hair bulb. Dormant hair follicles are stimulated into the growth phase of their life cycle and already growing follicles are nourished, keeping them growing, preventing them from entering a dormant state. The increase in blood flow usually stops further hair loss and in many clients actually stimulates new hair growth!
Hair follicles, which are “dormant” but not dead, can often be rehabilitated as debris is flushed from the hair shaft, swelling the cortex and closing the cuticle. Established hair becomes thicker, looks and feels softer and is easier to manage.
All living things thrive in light and hair is no different!
